The Analytics Engineer will work within the Data & Analytics team, focusing on leveraging comprehensive data across the brand's divisions. This position aims to deepen understanding of pets and their owners, utilising data analysis, modelling, and documentation to support individualized pet care and scientific innovation and promote pet welfare on a global scale.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Skilled in translating complex business needs from multiple sources or processes into actionable conceptual and physical data models, ensuring the development of scalable analytics products that closely align with and support strategic business objectives.
Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and integration from multiple sources into a single platform, with a strong foundation in SQL, Python/PySpark.
Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Azure and Gen2 platforms, and familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD methodologies.
Collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
(Nice to Have) Master’s degree or equivalent focusing on computing, scientific, statistical, or mathematical components.
(Nice to Have) Experience in advanced cloud services and storage technologies like Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Databricks, or similar platforms.
(Nice to Have) A continuous learner, open to exploring new technologies and methodologies in data analytics.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Develop insightful data models and analytics products that align with the Common Data Model (CDM) and meet strategic needs, influencing the development of innovative solutions for pet care.
Partner with different divisions within Petcare to source and refine data, driving the creation of cross-divisional data products that enhance insights into pet care.
Actively contribute to analytics product squads alongside Product Leads, Development Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers, transforming data into actionable insights for strategic decisions.
Develop and update comprehensive documentation and playbooks, making methodologies and insights accessible across the organization. Investigate new data modelling and visualization techniques to assist in advanced analytics projects.
