Mars Health, Safety, Environment, Security and Asset Conservation accountabilities:
Implement and maintain appropriate Mars HSE site policies and management systems through the development of relevant site specific management systems.
Maintain oversight of changes in legislation and Global standards to ensure that appropriate action is taken at the site and the FMT is briefed accordingly.
Develop, implement and maintain the site standards for health and safety and environmental management with particular focus on the MARS Global high risk areas; machinery safety (LOTO), work at height, workplace transport and contractor and construction management.
Define and maintain the plant emergency procedures and ensure they link to the business continuity and crisis management standards at the site.
Lead all site SES audit programmes to ensure compliance with corporate and legislative/regulatory requirements and hold individuals to account to close all actions on gap closure. Train and maintain all internal audit capabilities.
Provide technical expertise in ensuring incidents are effectively and systematically investigated, suitably analysed and relevant preventive actions are defined, communicated and implemented.
Implement the site security management system, lead the site security activities and identify and coordinate security improvements on site.
Provide training and education opportunities for site associates that will drive the sustainability and improvement of Safety, Environment and Security programs.
Communicate SES data and trends.
Through example and positive leadership positively influence attitudes and behaviour towards the safety of work.
Maintain personal competence via continuous personal development.
Responsible for SES for all aspects of the site
Responsible for the site SES budget
May be required to travel to support fresh eyes/internal audits and team meetings
What are we looking for?
Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment legislation / NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma, IEMA Certificate (or equivalent) preferable.
Minimum of a level 5 qualification in occupational health and safety (preferable) or or equivalent
Minimum of a level 3 (preferably level 4) qualification in environmental management (preferable) or equivalent
Minimum of level 3 qualification (or relevant industry experience) in security management (preferable) or equivalent
Will support continuous education & development.

- Salary: £43,000.00 - £53,000.00 + 12% Bonus
